If you are reading this page, the website is clearly working. The configuration and setup of this webserver has changed a bit over time, however the same services have been hosted pretty much the whole time.
The webserver hosted here is Caddy, as it is easy to configure with the Caddyfile and can automatically manage ssl encryption. Previously I used nginx and had a script to auto renew the ssl certificate, but using Caddy is so much simpler.
The design of the page has changed a couple of times, with the most drastic change being the design you are looking at now. I randomly thought of the idea to turn my topnav into a Windows 98-like taskbar, and got drawing. I used procreate on iPad setup for pixel art to create the buttons. Each button has 2 versions, one normal and one pressed. I tried to be as accurate as possible, and I haven't noticed any mistakes (yet). The taskbar buttons are not as wide as they should be, which was to make sure they all fit in a row as when they were full width they only fit when the browser window was full screen.
The font on this page is Microsoft Sans Serif, the one used in old Windows versions. It is the same font that I recreated in my buttons.
I also created a web button for my site, which you can see in the bottom right corner. Web buttons are 88x31 pixel GIFs that are typically used to link to other sites. These were common in the 90s/2000s (not that I was alive then) however some people still use them today.
